About the Ark-La-Tex Mardi Gras Museum

Mission Statement

The Mardi Gras in the Ark-La-Tex Museum was formed to forward the development of a regional Mardi Gras museum.  The facility will give residents, visitors and school groups an educational and entertaining perspective of the history of Mardi Gras in Louisiana with particular focus on the celebrations in Northwest Louisiana.  In addition, the facility will provide a unique venue for meetings and functions that will showcase a vital part of the area’s cultural heritage.

Contributing to the Mardi Gras Museum

The Mardi Gras in the Ark-La-Tex Museum is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions to the Museum are deductible under section 170 of the Code.  The Museum is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code.
